Founded in 1974, Ronald McDonald House provides a "home-away-from-home" for the families of seriously ill children receiving
treatment at nearby hospitals.
To date, more than three million family members have temporarily resided in 259 Ronald McDonald Houses in 28 countries.
The Ronald McDonald House is the cornerstone program of Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC),
a not-for-profit organization that develops and supports programs that directly improve the health and well
being of children worldwide. Operation of the charities is supported in large part by the generosity of local donors
and volunteers. RMHC of Southern Colorado began operations in 1987, and has since aided over 6,000 families through
the Ronald McDonald House and awarded more than $600,000 in grants to children's programs in Southern Colorado.
