Who doesn’t love a Gingerbread House for the holidays? Well, how about an entire Gingerbread Village? This holiday season, RMHC is sharing an intricately detailed Gingerbread Village with the community as our gift to YOU!
While at a conference in Texas, RMHC Executive Director, Beth Alessio, learned the Ronald McDonald House in Corpus Christi built a large Gingerbread House, having great success with raising awareness.
When Certified Executive Pastry Chef, Michael Paradiso, an instructor in the culinary arts program at Pikes Peak Community College, was approached with the idea of creating a house for our House, he decided ONE HOUSE wasn’t enough. He and his students became excited about building an entire Gingerbread Village!
Located outside the second floor of Dillard’s in Chapel Hills Mall, the Gingerbread Village features a Ronald McDonald House, a hospital, park, cafe, church and much more available from Thanksgiving until Christmas. We hope you’ll join us and start a new family holiday tradition!
There is no fee for your viewing pleasure! However, if you should so choose to bring an item (or items) from our wish list (www.rmhcs.org), we’ll have a giant stocking to receive your gifts! Happy Holidays!
